In addition to our full-year enrollment and private tutoring programs,
Grand Prix Tutoring enrolls equestrians who compete at the following winter circuits:
Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, Florida;
Global Dressage Festival (GDF) in Wellington, Florida;
World Equestrian Center (WEC); and
HITS Ocala in Ocala, Florida.

We tutor students who are in these locations for any period of time, whether it is just one weekend or the full show season. Our full-time seasonal students generally meet with tutors between Monday and Thursday. Our tutors are available on weekends for "commuters" who attend their regular schools during the week and for our seasonal and full-year students when necessary.

The frequency and duration of a student's private tutoring sessions are dependent on the student's motivation level and the rigor of their courses.

After Enrollment

One month prior to each student's arrival, we contact their school through an introductory email or phone call. Some schools prefer that we communicate with an advisor or guidance counselor while others prefer for us to email each teacher directly. We ask for class syllabi, a list of books that each class expects to use, and any other relevant information.

Two weeks before each student's arrival, we ask for emailed copies of the current assignment sheets for each class.

  Just before each student's first day of tutoring, each tutor will call to introduce themselves.

Seasonal Private Tutoring

Students regularly meet with our tutors to review class material, homework assignments, and any completed tests or quizzes. Additionally, our tutors proctor tests and quizzes for our students, so they can stay up to date with their assigned curriculum.

We ensure that each parent and teacher is up-to-date on their student's progress through regular discussions and weekly emailed progress reports. We manage the exchange of assignments and assessments between each student and their school. We scan and email all homework, quizzes, and tests that need to be submitted to the student's school at home.

So your child's school has concerns over the number of absences you will incur during the semester or year...

Our dedicated team helps students who are required to disenroll and their families determine the best online educational option.

We help students determine which online school and courses best match their traditional school's curriculum. This option gives students more flexibility, as they can access their coursework whenever they have internet access. Students enrolled in online school have the option to meet with tutors regularly or on an as-needed basis.

After Enrollment

We will help guide students and families through all paperwork required to disenroll from public school and enroll in online school. We will send in any necessary documents to the student's school district.

Students regularly meet with our tutors each week to review class material, homework assignments, and any completed tests or quizzes. Our tutors ensure students are up to date with their pace charts and that they stay in touch with their teachers. When necessary, we also help students review for and schedule their discussion based assessments.

We ensure that each parent is up-to-date on their student's progress through regular discussions and weekly emailed progress reports.

So your child's school has concerns over the number of absences you will occur during the semester or year...

Our dedicated team helps students who are required to disenroll and their families determine the best educational option for them, whether it is a custom curriculum or enrollment in an online school.

  • Custom Curriculum: Our team creates custom curriculum for disenrolled students that is tailored to match each student's individual traditional school curriculum. Our tutors meet regularly with these students to ensure students stay on course with their peers at home. We create academic portfolios for these students to present when they return to their schools at home. This option is preferred for students who have not yet reached high school.

  • Online School: We help students determine which online school and courses best match their traditional school's curriculum. This option gives students more flexibility, as they can access their coursework whenever they have internet access. Private Tutoring for Equestrians

We offer online tutoring for students in all locations throughout the school year. Students who frequently travel, live outside of the areas that our tutors travel to, or simply would like an abbreviated session can participate in sessions via Skype to ensure continuity, communication, and confidence. Through the use of online programs, our students and tutors are able to share work, write on screen, and collaborate.

We provide academic support to our students throughout the full school year, including during the fall indoor horse shows.
